  • Description:
    Mound Westonka/W-M began its season with a 5-2 victory over the visiting Tartan Titans at the Thaler arena. Heller scored for Tartan at 33 seconds to start the scoring. Kia Johnson tied it up 11:22 into the period on a great pass from Taylor Kuehl. Kuehl then scored an unassisted goal 3 minutes later. Kuehl capped off the first period scoring two minutes later with the assist going to Johnson. Tartan scored halfway through the second with Regan getting the goal. Mound Westonka/W-M took over the game in the third period outshooting the Titans 18-7 and getting both of the goals. Nina Chase scored both goals with Johnson getting an assist on the first goal and Haley Schommer and Mackenzie Kratch getting assists on the second goal.
