Wayzata at Lakeville South

Wayzata started the season with two games against Northwest Suburban Conference teams. The Trojans, No. 4-2A, tied Anoka 1-1 on Nov. 6 and won 5-1 at Coon Rapids on Nov. 8.

Senior forward Sophia Shaver scored three goals in the victory over the Cardinals.

Junior forward Ally Wiitala has a goal and an assist, while junior forward Maddie Wolsmann has two assists for Wayzata (1-0-1). Senior forward Maddy Johnson and sophomore forward Natalie Heising each have a goal. Junior goalie Sarah Stelter has 22 saves. 

Lakeville South is coached by Natalie Darwitz, a standout player for Eagan, the University of Minnesota and Team USA, and she has the Cougars (No. 15-2A) off to an impressive start with a 7-0 win at Apple Valley in a South Suburban Conference matchup on Nov. 8.

Junior forward Janna Haeg scored two goals and had three assists, while junior defenseman Tea Baker finished with two goals in the victory.

Senior forwards Haley Ravndalen and Chloe Batta each had a goal and an assist for the Cougars. Junior defenseman Amanda Boisjolie tallied a goal and two assists.
