Minnetonka at Warroad

Minnetonka ends a stretch of games against three outstate teams with a stop at Warroad. The Skippers also play Thief River Falls and Roseau while up north.

This matchup features two teams looking to add another chapter to their storied state tournament success this season.

The Skippers won three consecutive Class 2A state titles (2011, 2012 and 2013). The Warriors won back-to-back Class 1A state championships in 2010 and 2011.

Minnetonka, No. 3-2A, won at Andover 4-1 in its season-opener on Nov. 8.

Senior forward Rylie McDonell finished with a goal and an assist, while junior defenseman Camille von Steinbergs and sophomore forward Jordan Melz each had a goal for the Skippers (1-0).

Sophomore forward Emma Bigham recorded three assists and senior defenseman Kelsey Crow had two in the victory.

Warroad, No. 4-1A, opens its season at Park Rapids on Nov. 11.
