Dodge County at Orono
7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5

Dodge County has been impressive in opening the season undefeated.

The No. 3-2A Wildcats (6-0-0) have wins against No. 17-2A Benilde-St. Margaret’s and No. 13-2A Hopkins, as well as convincing wins against the likes of Winona and North St. Paul.

Dodge County's schedule gets a little tougher Friday when the Wildcats head to No. 10-1A Orono.

Senior Dana Rasmussen, who has committed to Ohio State, has 12 goals - including two hat tricks - and has scored in every game for the Wildcats, while sophomore Gabby Suhr has played every minute in goal, posting a 1.33 goals-against average and a .912 save-percentage.

The goaltending for Orono has been a bit more fluid. The Spartans have three goalies who have seen significant time: Maddie Carlson (1.85 goals-against average, .944 save percentage), Sophia Sterling (2.00 GAA, .927 save percentage) and Ava Lambert (1.77 GAA, .897 save percentage). Each has logged at least 100 minutes between the pipes this season.

Sarah Hanson has four goals and six points to lead Orono. Brianna Bren has three goals (four points) and Brooklyn Duffy has a team-high four assists (five points).

Dodge County rallied behind Rasmussen's three, third-period goals to defeat Orono 5-4 last year.
