Eden Prairie at Blake
7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20

Eden Prairie doesn’t have the weight of a 22-game unbeaten streak bearing down on it this season, and the Eagles hold a 1-1 record after a 4-1 loss to No. 1-2A Hill-Murray on Nov. 14. The Pioneers held a 28-16 advantage in shots for the game and took a 3-0 lead before Lauren Oberle scored in the second period.

Despite the loss, No. 5-2A Eden Prairie has played well, notching a 3-0 win over No. 8-2A Lakeville South in the season opener. Rachel Werdin scored two goals and Sydney Langseth had one against the Cougars. Eden Prairie outshot Lakeville South 41-19 for the game, and goalie Alexa Dobchuk earned her first shutout of the season.

Blake shook off a 3-1 loss to Hill-Murray with two 5-1 victories - the first over No. 7-2A Lakeville North and the other over No. 15-2A Chaska/Chanhassen. The No. 1-1A Bears (3-1) outshot the Panthers 33-16 with Carly Bullock scoring three goals. C.C. Wallin and Sylvie Wallin each had a goal for Blake, which finished 2-for-4 on the power play.

Bullock picked up her second hat trick in as many games in the win over Chaska/Chanhassen on Nov. 14. Sarah Chute and Izzy Daniel also scored for the Bears, who outshot the Storm Hawks 30-14. Blake, however, finished 0-for-5 on the power play.

Eden Prairie won last year’s meeting 5-2.
