WAYZATA 3, EDINA 1: In a battle of two top 10 teams and Lake Conference rivals, the Trojans (No. 4, 2A) used three straight second-period goals to pull away from the Hornets (No. 3, 2A), who fell to 7-2 with their second loss in three games. Edina scored first on C.C. Bowlby’s goal early in the second period. Wayzata responded with three unanswered goals, the first two coming off the stick of Natalie Heising. Maddie Wolsmann assisted on both of Heising’s goals and scored the last goal of the night for the Trojans. Wayzata will take on Eden Prairie on Saturday.

BLAINE 12, CHAMPLIN PARK 1: The Bengals, ranked no. 10 in Class 2A in this week’s poll, soundly defeated the Rebels. Junior Courtney Moser had a hat trick and an assist for Blaine, while sophomore Gabby Rosenthal assisted on four goals. Kaleigh Martinson’s even strength goal in the second period was Champlin Park’s lone goal.

NORTHFIELD 4, RED WING 2: The Raiders upset the No. 10, 1A Wingers thanks to a hat trick by senior forward Anne Hargis. Taylor Heise scored both of Red Wings goals. Mallory Tidona saved 31 of 33 shots.

WHITE BEAR LAKE 6, ROSEVILLE 2: Sarah Moy and Sydney Shearen each had a pair of goals to lead the Bears passed the Raiders. This is the eight win on the season for White Bear Lake.

MOUND WESTONKA 2, HOLY FAMILY/WACONIA 1: Liz Schepers staked the White Hawks to a two goal lead with her goals in the first and second periods. Olivia Russo would score Holy Family/Waconia’s lone goal in the third. Net-minder Emma Polusny stopped 32 of 33 shots for Mound Westonka.

CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 4, ST.FRANCIS/NORTH BRANCH 3 (OT): Senior Shellby Bosell scored the game-winner 5:55 into the extra period for the Bluejackets. Cambridge-Isanti’s Alyson Niebur scored halfway through the third period to knot the game at three. Madelyn Skelton had two goals and an assist for Cambridge-Isanti.

HOPKINS/PARK 3, BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON 1: Tied 1-1 early in the third period, Katie Glover scored the go-ahead goal, her second of the game. Stella Haberman would add an insurance goal later. Kylie Hanley assisted on both third period goals for Hopkins/Park.
