Minnetonka at Edina
3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23

Minnetonka swept Edina last season, but the Skippers won't have that distinction this year following a 2-2 tie with the Hornets on Jan. 5.

Minnetonka was missing Presley Norby and Edina was without Emily Oden and Grace Bowlby (who were playing with the U.S. Women's Under-18 National Team in the IIHF World Championship tournament) in the first matchup, but both teams should have their top talents back in the lineup for this pivotal Lake Conference meeting on Saturday.

The No. 3-2A Hornets (14-5-1, 2-2-1) can throw themselves back into the mix for a league title with victories over the No. 2-2A Skippers (16-2-2, 4-1-1) and No. 5-2A Eden Prairie in Edina's final conference games of the regular season.

The Hornets rebounded from a 2-1 loss to No. 7-2A Elk River on Jan. 14 with a 7-1 rout of No. 8-2A Wayzata on Jan. 16 fueled by two points apiece from Oden and Bowlby.
