Eagan at Eastview
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26

Eastview defeated Eagan in last year’s Class 2A, Section 3 championship, and they could be heading toward another meeting this postseason.

But first, the Wildcats (15-4-4, 12-2-2) the Lightning (13-6-4, 10-3-3) must finish their regular-season schedule, which includes their South Suburban Conference matchup and is a game that likely decides the top seed for the section tournament.

Eastview recorded a 4-3 victory over Eagan on Dec. 15 thanks to Natalie Snodgrass’ shorthanded goal in the third period. Snodgrass (26-15-41), who scored three times in the win, has four goals and six assists in her last four games.

The No. 14-2A Wildcats have stayed with South Suburban Conference leader Lakeville South twice this season, recording a 3-2 loss on Jan. 16 and a 2-2 tie on Jan. 18. Eagan has victories over Burnsville and Prior Lake (3-2) in its last two games.

Wildcats senior Brooke Madsen (20-24-44) had a goal and three assists in a 6-1 win against the Blaze, while freshman goalie Ashley Larson (12-3-2, 2.02, .909) finished with 26 saves in a 3-2 win against Prior Lake. Larson also had 29 saves against the tie with the Cougars.
