Breck at Wayzata
7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17

Breck senior Grace Zumwinkle is back and has wasted no time in picking up where she left off last season when she was one of the state's most dominant players.

Zumwinkle scored all the goals in a 5-4 overtime victory over No. 8-2A Centennial on Nov. 12, including the game-tying goal late in the third period and the unassisted game-winner.

Sophomore Ally Frantzick made 23 saves in the victory and appears to have staked her claim in goal for the No. 3-1A Mustangs (1-0), which was manned last season by Division-I signees Sydney Scobee and Jenna Brenneman.

Wayzata exploded for three goals in the second period -- including two from senior and Penn State commit Natalie Heising -- of its season opener to dispatch Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids 4-3. Heising is also the leader in shots on goal for the No. 10-2A Trojans (1-0) after registering 14 in the win.
