Thief River Falls vs. East Grand Forks

Thief River Falls' eight-game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Dec. 3 in a 5-1 loss to No. 1-1A Blake.

The Prowlers (8-1, 4-0) sit atop the Greater Minnesota Conference standings, thanks to an offense that has scored 14 or more goals in three games.

The linchpins of the No. 5-1A Prowler attack are senior defender Callie Fagerstrom (10-13-23) and senior forward Kora Torkelson (11-8-19).

Fagerstrom scored a goal in last season's 5-0 win over East Grand Forks in the Class 1-A, Section 8 semifinals, ending the Green Wave's season.

East Grand Forks (4-1-1, 2-0-1) is coming off a loss to Blake. Junior forward Cynthia Loven (4-2-6) scored twice and goaltender Mckenzie Whalen made an incredible 59 saves in the 6-3 loss on Dec. 2.
