Shakopee vs. Lakeville South
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20

Shakopee has quietly lost just once this season, resulting in an overall record of 7-1-3 and a 4-1-2 mark in the competitive South Suburban Conference. The Sabers, however, haven't earned a spot in the Class 2A rankings, a situation that would certainly change with a win over No. 9-2A Lakeville South.

Shakopee has proven adept at winning close games. The Sabers are 5-1 in games decided by just one goal, experience they may need against the Cougars.

Senior forward and Minnesota State commit Tristen Truax leads Shakopee's offense with 11 goals and 18 points.

Lakeville South (9-3, 8-0) sits atop the South Suburban standings, and the Cougars come into the week on a three-game winning streak in which they've outscoring opponents 13-7. The offense is powered by forwards Emily Fischler (10-6-16), Halle Gill (9-5-14) and Lindsay Maloney (3-8-11).
