Princeton vs. Moose Lake-Willow River
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5

Princeton has won five straight games, including two by shutout, using its recent success to climb in the Class 1A rankings to No. 9.

The Tigers (12-3) feature one of the state's leading scorers in sophomore Madisen Peterson, whose 30 goals rank third statewide. She is often set up by senior forward Maggie Peterson, who is tied for third in Minnesota with 24 assists.

Madisen is first among players in the Mississippi 8 Conference in total points with 39, while Maggie is third with 36.

The Tigers will need to maintain that offensive production when facing Moose Lake-Willow River, which boasts the state's top scorer in Jessica Bird. The senior forward has 33 goals and ranks third in the state with 47 points.

The No. 15-1A Lady Rebels (11-3-1) also rely on senior forward Sage Gerard (6-24-30) for points and will look to get back on track after falling to Andover and Anoka in back-to-back games at the Schwan Cup Silver Division tournament.
