Hill-Murray vs. Centennial
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3

Hill-Murray had its eight-game winning streak snapped by a 3-1 loss to No. 4-2A Elk River on Dec. 30, which was the first time it had been held to a single goal since a 3-1 loss to No. 1-2A Edina on Dec. 3. The No. 5-2A Pioneers (12-3-0) bounced back with a 6-0 win over No. 12-1A Hibbing/Chisholm on Dec. 31.

Hill-Murray relies heavily on a balanced scoring attack, with junior forward and Minnesota commit Abigail Boreen (12-12-24) leading the group.

Sophomore Ava Bailey has done more than hold her own in goal, recording six shutouts in 11 games. She will be a key factor in shutting down the high-flying Centennial offense.

The No. 8-2A Cougars (10-5) have scored 10 or more goals three times this season, led by the duo of Gabbie Hughes and Anneke Linser.

Hughes, a junior North Dakota commit, leads the state in total points (54) while Linser is second (50), and they are tied atop the assist category with 32 each.
