Eagan is coming off back-to-back wins over No. 10-2A Cretin-Derham Hall and No. 12-2A Chaska/Chanhassen, two victories that secured the Mid-Winter Meltdown consolation championship title.

Junior forward and Minnesota-Duluth commit Taylor Anderson (14-9-23) recorded three goals and an assist in the two victories, which helped the No. 16-2A Wildcats (8-5-2) end a five-game losing streak -- one that included a 4-2 loss to No. 3-2A Eden Prairie in the tournament's opening round on Dec. 27.

Shakopee took the consolation championship title at the Warroad Hockeytown Holiday Classic with a 4-2 victory over No. 13-1A Alexandria on Dec. 28. The No. 19-2A Sabers lost to No. 3-1A St. Paul United 4-0 in the opening round on Dec. 27.

Senior forward and Minnesota State commit Trisen Truax's 12 goals are third-most among skaters in the South Suburban conference, and her 20 points lead the Sabers (9-3-3).
