Thief River Falls vs. Warroad
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17

A 7-1 win over Duluth Marshall on Jan. 14 snapped a three-game losing streak for Thief River Falls. That's good news for the No. 5-1A Prowlers (13-6, 6-2), who needed some confidence as they try to maintain their spot atop the Greater Minnesota Conference standings against league foe Warroad.

Defender Callie Fagerstrom (15-18-33) and forward Kora Torkelson (17-16-33) continue to lead Thief River Falls' attack. The seniors each have 33 points, tied for the third most in the conference.

Warroad took the first meeting between the teams 3-2 on Dec. 13, and the Warriors (9-7-2, 4-0-2) look to add another victory behind junior Madison Oelkers (18-25-43) and senior Mariah Gardner (18-21-39). The forwards provide the Warriors with a formidable 1-2 punch on offense and are capable to breaking open a game. Each had a goal in the earlier win over Thief River Falls, and both are committed to Minnesota State.
