Centennial vs. Elk River/Zimmerman
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24

Junior tandem Gabbie Hughes and Anneke Linser are back in the lineup for No. 8-2A Centennial (12-8, 8-3) after taking a week to play for Team USA in the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championships.

Hughes, a North Dakota commit, ranks tied for first in the state in points with 58, while Ohio State commit Linser is fifth with 52. Hughes ranks eighth statewide with 26 goals, while Linser holds the state lead with 34 assists.

Elk River/Zimmerman (15-5, 10-3) doesn't have quite the scoring punch that the Cougars do, but the Elks do just fine with senior forward Andrea Westgaard (10-18-28) and sophomore forward Kelsey King (13-12-25). King is committed to Minnesota State.

Westgaard recorded a goal and an assist in the first game between the teams, which the No. 5-2A Elks won 3-2.
