Minnetonka vs. Brainerd/Little Falls

3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25

This matchup is a chance for Brainerd/Little Falls to test itself against a fellow Class 2A opponent with some pedigree.

The Warriors are undefeated after picking up wins against Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (7-1 on Nov. 14) and No. 8-1A Alexandria (3-2 on Nov. 17). Cheyenne Abear and Dartmouth commit Sophie Robinson have three goals apiece for the Warriors' potent offense.

Minnetonka, meanwhile, has had its ups and downs in the early going. After starting the season with a 3-2 loss to Maple Grove, the No. 10-2A Skippers have gone 1-0-2, including a 2-1 win in over Roseau on Nov. 17. A day later, Minnetonka tied Warroad 2-2 behind a goal and an assist from senior forward Chloe Lewis.

A victory in this matchup could help each team gain an edge in section seeding and provide some confidence should either reach the state tournament.
