Minnesota Girls Hockey Hub

The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., has chosen Apple Valley's 1995 girls' hockey state championship -- the first in America -- as part of its "Museum On Main Street" program.

The "Hometown Teams" exhibit will feature a number of amateur teams, athletes and coaches. Smithsonian representatives will be in Apple Valley to interview former players and coaches about their state tournament experiences. Audio, video and pieces of memorabilia are part of the exhibit.
