South St. Paul's girls' hockey program has won four state championships and been the runner-up twice in the past 11 years. Once again, the Packers are ranked in the top 10 in Class 1A. Senior defenseman Lauren Wilcox is their leading scorer this season. Here is a closer look at Wilcox:

The best movie I've seen in the past year? "The Hunger Games."

Three songs I never skip on my iPod ... "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons; "All-American Girl" by Carrie Underwood; "Cruise" by Florida George Line.

What are your three favorite apps? Twitter; Pinterest; Instagram.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? Nobody famous, just my friends.

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Funny; outgoing; talkative.

At my first varsity practice, I felt ... nervous, but excited to start my season.

What are your goals for the 2012-2013 hockey season? Make it to the state tournament and be [Classic Suburban] conference champs.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete so far? Playing in the state tournament and two championship games.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? No recruiting from one school to another.

In 10 years, I hope I'm ... making a lot of money.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Enjoy every minute of it because you never know what could happen.
