Eden Prairie finds itself undefeated after another week of the season in the books, but things don't get any easier for the Eagles as they head into the meat of their Lake Conference schedule.
Eden Prairie (14-0-3) once again takes on Minnetonka (12-4-0), a team the Eagles needed overtime to defeat 2-1 in the Mid-Winter Meltdown hockey tournament championship game at the Eden Prairie Community Center on Dec. 31.
The Eagles, ranked No. 1 in the Class 2A coaches poll, face No. 6-2A Edina (9-5-1) Jan. 6, before the matchup with the No. 5-2A Skippers, and the Hornets are a team that commands respect even though the it is suffering from what is seen as a down season throughout the program.
Things don't get any easier for Eden Prairie following this week's slate of games. The Eagles have one more regular-season meeting with Edina and Minnetonka before section playoffs begin.
Can Eden Prairie finish the season, or at least Lake Conference play, undefeated? Can Minnetonka be the team that ends the Eagles' unbeaten streak? Our Top Game of the Week could provide plenty of answers.
