Maple Grove senior racks up four goals

MAPLE GROVE 8, SHAKOPEE 6: Casey Hirsch can score in a variety of ways. The senior forward had a power-play goal and shorthanded tally amongst her four goals as the Crimson beat the Sabers in the consolation bracket of the Eden Prairie tournament. Hirsch had a hat trick in Maple Grove's five-goal second period.

HASTINGS 3, LAKEVILLE NORTH 2: Courtney Boucher's shorthanded goal with five seconds left in the second period was the game-winner in the Raiders' victory over the Panthers in the semifinals of the Louis Schmitz Classic in Farmington. She also scored Hastings' first goal.

EDINA 2, HILL-MURRAY 0: Kelly McGarvey and Suzie Lundeen scored 3 minutes apart in the first period, and the Hornets’ defense made it stand up to win their own invitational. Edina outshot Hill-Murray 34-9.

BLAINE 4, CLOQUET-ESKO-CARLTON 1: Brittney Thunstrom had a hat trick, including the first two goals of the game, leading the Bengals past the Lumberjacks in the consolation bracket of the Eden Prairie tournament.

EDEN PRAIRIE 2, NORTH METRO 1: The Eagles outshot the Stars 43-10, but needed Allie LaCombe’s goal midway through the third period to win the semifinal matchup of their own tournament.

FARMINGTON 5, PARK OF COTTAGE GROVE 0: Krystal Baumann had three goals and one assist as the Tigers reached the finals of their own Louis Schmitz Classic, blanking the Wolfpack. Jessica Erchul made 26 saves for the shutout.
