Player of the Week candidates for Jan. 30-Feb. 4

This week's winner

Alex Hantge, Hutchinson. In a 4-3 win over Holy Family Catholic/Waconia, the freshman forward scored two goals and added an assist. Hantge scored the overtime game-winner with less than two minutes left in the extra frame.

The other candidates

Emma Bigham, Minnetonka. The senior forward recorded a hat trick in No. 7-2A Minnetonka's 5-4 overtime win over Lakeville South. Bigham's third goal was the game-winner and came 2 minutes, 3 seconds into the extra frame.

Jessica Bird, Moose Lake-Willow River. Bird tallied one goal and two assists in the third period of a 3-2 win over Hibbing/Chisholm. The senior forward scored the game-winner with 5:07 remaining in the game after her team trailed 2-0 going into the third.

Courtney Bloemke, Mankato West. The junior forward contributed three goals and an assist in a 4-3 win over Albert Lea. Bloemke scored the first three goals of the game -- one shorthanded and two on the power play -- less than five minutes apart in the second period.

Maddison Lehto, Roseville. The sophomore goaltender stopped 31 of 32 shots for a .969 save percentage in a 2-1 win over White Bear Lake.

Molly Mahowald, Sartell/Sauk Rapids. The senior forward scored less than two minutes into the game, then again 2:35 into overtime in a 3-2 win over Alexandria.

Carissa Mudrak, Duluth Marshall. The freshman goaltender turned away 30 of 31 shots in a 2-1 win over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, recording a save percentage of .968.

Gabby Rosenthal, Blaine. In a 3-1 win over No. 8-2A Centennial, the junior forward scored three goals, including one on the power play.

Kallie Schneider, Lakeville North. The sophomore goaltender stopped all 28 shots she faced in a 2-0 win over Shakopee.

Lilah Schulz, Minneapolis. The junior goaltender made 23 saves in a 2-1 win over Mahtomedi.
