Overtime power-play goal puts Lakeville North on top

LAKEVILLE NORTH 3, EASTVIEW 2 (OT): Christi Vetter scored a power-play goal 5 minutes, 5 seconds into overtime as the Panthers outlasted the Lightning in overtime in a South Suburban matchup. Erika Geary scored in the third period for Lakeville North, tying it 2-2. The Panthers outshot Eastview 34-15.

BLAINE 2, ANOKA 2 (OT): Bengals freshman Kiersten Falck scored with 28 seconds left, giving Blaine an overtime tie with the Tornadoes in the Northwest Suburban. Sophomore Kayla Laughlin scored three minutes earlier, giving Anoka a 2-1 lead.

BRECK 4, ST. PAUL BLADES 1: The Mustangs scored three first-period goals, and went on to beat the Blades in the Tri-Metro. Junior Milica McMillen scored Breck’s final two goals.

COON RAPIDS 7, ELK RIVER 4: The Cardinals’ Rachael Bona broke the school’s single-season scoring record on her last goal of the night and her fifth of the game in a win over the Elks in Northwest Suburban play. She assisted on the other two goals. Bona has 31 goals and 25 assists on the season.

SHAKOPEE 3, CHASKA/CHANHASSEN 2: Alyssa Hawes scored with one minute left, giving the Sabers a victory over the Hawks in the Missota. Shakopee’s Amy Menke scored a power-play goal 27 seconds into the third period, tying it at two.
