Class 2A

Edina (23-1-1) received 10 first place votes and remained ranked No. 1 in the Class 2A coach's poll.

The Hornets finished their regular season with wins over No. 15 Hopkins/Park (7-1), No. 6 Elk River/Zimmerman (3-2) and Anoka (11-0). Harvard University recruit Lolita Fidler led the Hornets with 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists). Goalie Anna Goldstein is tied for fourth among Class 2A goalies with 16 wins.

Eden Prairie (17-6-2) dropped from fourth to fifth in the Class 2A coach's poll despite ending its season on a three game winning streak. The Eagles beat Wayzata, Farmington and Hopkins/Park by a combined score of 17-3.

Blaine replaced Eden Prairie at No. 4 after tying No. 3 Maple Grove and beating No. 7 Minnetonka. The Bengals (20-3-2) went 5-0-2 in their last seven games.

Minnetonka (12-9-4) jumped from tenth to seventh after tying No. 5 Eden Prairie and beating Lakeville South 5-4.

Much of the bottom half of the Class 2A top 20 remained unchanged. Grand Rapids/Greenway (17-5-3) made the biggest move, jumping from No. 19 to No. 17 after tying No. 16-1A Hibbing/Chisholm.

Class 1A

The Class 1A top 20 experienced just two changes as Blake remained No. 1 with 10 first place votes in the coach's poll.

The Bears (22-2-1) finished their season with 14 consecutive wins and allowed more than one goal in just one of those games. Blake outscored their opponents 105-26 and outshot them 827-473.

The rest of the Class 1A top ten also remained unchanged with Breck, St. Paul United, Proctor/Hermantown and Warroad rounding out the top five.

Delano/Rockford (21-4) had the second-most wins in Class 1A but finished one spot outside of the top five after facing just six currently-ranked opponents all season.

Hutchinson (18-6) replaced Alexandria (12-12-1) in the No. 14 slot. The Tigers finished the season 11-2 in their last 13 games. Alexandria lost its five of its final six games and dropped to No. 15 in the Class 1A top twenty.

The only other change in the Class 1A state rankings was Fergus Falls (13-10-1) replacing current No. 20 Owatonna (15-8-2) at No. 19.
