Big hockey tournaments have become commonplace for Layla Marvin and Karley Sylvester.

The Warroad High School seniors were standouts on a Warriors teams that won last season’s Minnesota Class A state tournament and finished second in the 2009 state tournament.

This winter, they were teammates on the United States team that won the gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation World U18 Championship in Sweden.

Now they’re heading back to another big tournament.
