White Bear Lake junior Samantha Hanson has verbally committed to the University of North Dakota, her family confirmed Saturday.

The defenseman had 24 goals and 20 assists this season and a plus-minus ratio of plus 40 for the year. Hanson was recently voted team MVP by her high school hockey team, and was an all-state honorable mention.
