Megan Meyers gave up first-period goals to Hopkins/St. Louis Park forwards Mary Gleason and Kylie Hanley before stopping 15 consecutive shots in the final two periods. She stopped 27 of 29 shots total.
Eagan 2, East Ridge 0. Top-seeded Eagan ousted No. 5 East Ridge in a Class 2A, Section 3 semifinal. Wildcats goalie Maddie Nickell notched a 27-save shutout, her second of the postseason. Jenna Ruiz and Taylor Anderson scored for Eagan, while Raptors goaltender Lindsay Carlson. The Wildcats advance to face three-time defending section champion, No. 2 Eastview, in the final round.
Andover 3, Elk River/Zimmerman 2. Andover, seeded No. 1 in Class 2A, Section 7, avenged its past two postseason losses to No. 4 Elk River/Zimmerman to return to the section final for the first time since 2015. Huskies forward Peyton Hemp scored twice, while teammate Jamie Nelson notched assists on both her goals. Madison Bizal and Halle Johnson found the net for the Elks, but Andover goaltender Cassidy Stumo stopped nine shots in the final period to protect her team's lead. She finished with 26 saves.
