Tim Morris Bio
Tim Morris has been invovled with the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association from its inception in 1996. He has served as a Section Rep, President, President-Elect, Past-President and now as the Executive Director (since 2003). Tim has also served on numerous committees including the MSHSL Advisory Committee, the Herb Brooks Award committee and the MGHCA Programs committee. He has been coaching at the high school level for 20 years, 16 of those years as a girls high school head coach.

This is a new page on the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association website. The goal of this page is:
- to provide our coaches, players, parents and fans a place to voice their opinions on selected topics
- to disseminate information regarding special events
- to provide a forum to survey our members regarding topics relevant and important to girls high school hockey and hockey in general
In the coming weeks I will be asking other veteran coaches, athletic administrators, officials and parents to provide their insights into the state of the girls high school game. If you would like to contribute, please send an email to info@mghca.com with your commentary, questions or topic suggestions. Selected commentaries and/or questions will be featured each week with the best responses/comments added to future columns. We look forward to hearing from everyone.
SENIOR CLASSIC UPDATES
The 2013 Senior Classic will be held at the NSC Schwan's Super Rink on March 1-3, 2013. All coaches should have nominated their best senior players for inclusion on the section ballot. Ballots should have gone out last Friday to each coach in their respective sections to select the section players. The 2013 Senior Classic will mark the 15th year of the event. The first Senior Classic was held in 1999 and was called the Maroon & Gold Series. Forty players were part of two teams competing at the Super Rink. Today's event has grown to eight teams with 136 players representing each section in the state.
Admission is FREE for all games at the Senior Classic. Click on the Senior Classic page under the Programs drop down menu for schedules, rosters, scores and more info regarding the HIgh School Senior Classic.
