Hopkins at Wayzata
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13

Hopkins ended a two-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory at Buffalo on Jan. 10. Can the Royals make it two victories in a row when they travel to Lake Conference rival Wayzata on Jan. 13? Possibly.

No. 14-2A Royals (11-7-1, 2-1-1) already have a 6-3 victory over the Trojans on Dec. 13. Kylie Hanley scored two goals in the win and has been one of the Royals' biggest contributors since late December.

Hanley has five goals and five assists Hopkins' last six games. She is second on the team in goals (12) and points (32).

Corbin Boyd scored six goals to go with six assists in that six game span. She now has a team-high 30 assists through 19 games.

Hanley and Boyd need to continue their offensive output for the Royals to have a chance. Hopkins' goaltending situation has been a bit of a struggle, with the Royals giving up 2.56 goals per game.

That may not be a big of a factor in the game against No. 7-2A Wayzata (11-5-2, 2-3). The Trojans have only player with more than 10 goals: Sophia Shaver with 13.
