Edina at Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24

Edina still isn't playing as well as is characteristic of past Hornets squads, but the Green and White still commands respect with its No. 6-2A ranking.

Edina (10-7-1) was dealt a 3-1 loss to Eden Prairie two weeks ago and has gone 2-2 in its last four games.

No. 1-2A Eden Prairie (18-0-3) enters the week riding a seven-game winning streak that helped the Eagles remain undefeated through 21 games. They are also 4-0-1 in Lake Conference play and atop the standings, while Edina is 0-5-0 and in last place.

Eden Prairie is one of the more balanced teams in the state with 10 players scoring at least four goals, and just two skaters with more than 10. Angie Heppelmann has a team-high 13 goals and Naomi Rogge has 12.

Edina has Taylor Williamson, who has five goals and 11 points in the Hornets' last four games. The Minnesota commit leads Edina in scoring with 24 goals and 41 points.

Goalie Shannon Petersen has the state's 10th-best goals against average (1.45). She is 8-3-0 with a .931 save percentage.
