Lakeville South at Blake
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22

Lakeville South has one of the state's best records (16-3-1), and the Cougars are riding a five-game win streak during which they've outscored their opponents 30-5.

No. 9-2A Lakeville South also has one of the state's most balanced attacks, with five players having scored at least nine goals, led by Morgan Morse's 19. Each of those skaters also has double-digit assists, including Janna Haeg, who has a team-leading 26.

With Chloe Crosby (13-3-1, 1.83 gaa,) in net, Lakeville South might just be the most balanced and deepest team in the state.

No. 1-1A Blake certainly has a good chance of giving the Cougars a run for their money, though.

The Bears have won 15 straight games since suffering their only loss, a 5-2 defeat coming at the hands of No. 1-2A Eden Prairie in November. Blake has been outstanding on offense, averaging just under five goals per contest, while allowing less than two on defense.

Carly Bullock has 34 goals and 58 points while Karlie Lund has a stat line of 15-25-40 for the Bears.

A win for either team would be a huge statement about their postseason chances.
