Hopkins at Edina
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20

Edina and Hopkins are reeling as they enter this battle between the bottom teams in the unforgiving Lake Conference, making this matchup a must-win for both.

The No. 6-2A Hornets (10-7-1, 0-5-0) won three of their last eight games, including a 5-3 victory over the Royals in the Walser Tournament consolation championship on Dec. 31

No. 13-2A Hopkins (11-9-1, 2-3-1) has also gone 3-5 in its last eight games. Edina defeated Hopkins 5-3 in the previous matchup between these teams back on Dec. 31, but since then Edina has gone 1-2 while the Royals have gone 1-3.

Grace Bizal will probably be the most dynamic scorer on the ice when these two teams face again. The Royals senior and Boston College commit has a team-high 20 goals.

Minnesota commit Taylor Williamson leads Edina's offense. The senior has 24 goals and 41 points.

Edina has enjoyed solid goaltending from Shannon Petersen as of late, while Hopkins still seems to be going through a revolving door of goalies. That doesn't bode well for the Royals.
