Eastview at Eagan
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15

Last year’s Class 2A, Section 3 finalists Eastview and Eagan appear headed to another possible postseason meeting behind impressive starts.

The third-seeded Lightning upset the top-seeded Wildcats 6-4 in last year’s championship, and two years before that, Eagan beat Eastview 6-4 in the section title game.

The No. 15-2A Wildcats (7-0-1, 5-0) jumped out to an eight-game unbeaten run behind the play of sophomore forward Taylor Anderson (9-9-18) and senior forward Brooke Madsen (9-9-18), a Penn State commit. Madsen had two goals and an assist while Anderson finished with a goal and three assists in an 8-2 win over Prior Lake on Dec. 12

Eastview (7-1-2, 5-0-2) has gone unbeaten since a 2-1 season-opening loss to White Bear Lake.

Junior forward Natalie Snodgrass, a Connecticut commit and U.S. Women’s Under-18 National Team member, has 17 goals and eight assists for the No. 19-2A Lightning. Snodgrass has five multi-goal games, including a four-goal performance in a 6-1 win against Lakeville North.

Eastview settled for a 1-1 tie with No. 11-2A Lakeville South on Dec. 12 to remain unbeaten in the South Suburban Conference.
