Minnetonka at Maple Grove
7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17

Maple Grove will be eager to meet No. 2-2A Minnetonka since the Skippers ended the Crimson’s 20-game unbeaten streak last year with a 3-1 victory.

Maple Grove comes into this meeting on another streak. The No. 5-2A Crimson (8-1-2, 5-0-2) haven’t lost in their past 10 games, a run that started after a 4-1 loss to No. 3-2A Edina in the season opener.

In Maple Grove's last two games, Taylor Wente (11-13-24) has three goals and two assists and Hailey Herdine (6-8-14) has four goals, including a hat trick in a 9-2 win over No. 18-2A Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids.

Goalies Coco Francis and Breanna Blesi continue putting up solid numbers for Maple Grove. Francis is 3-0-2 with a .94 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage while Blesi has gone 5-1 with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.

The Crimson are one of two top-10 teams Minnetonka will face this week. The Skippers, who have a 10-game unbeaten streak of their own, also face No. 6-2A Eden Prairie on Dec. 15.
