East Grand Forks at Roseau

Roseau fell out of the Class 2A rankings after a string of losses against tough opponents, but the Rams remain in the hunt for the Greater Minnesota Conference title.

Roseau (7-4, 4-1) has won three consecutive games after a four-game stretch that included losses to No. 3-2A Edina, No. 2-1A Breck and No.  4-1A Warroad. The lone win came against No. 5-1A Thief River Falls.

Rams junior forward Lindsey Santl (11-6-17) has four goals and two assists in her last three games, including a goal and two assists in a 4-3 win over the Prowlers. 

East Grand Forks (4-4, 2-2) hasn’t beaten any of the teams ahead of it in the conference standings, but the No. 7-1A Green Wave are just two years removed from a Class 1A state title game appearance.

Tiffany Hanson (5-5-10) and Livia Pesch (6-2-8) have led the scoring for East Grand Forks, which is coming off a 7-0 win over Park Rapids on Dec. 12 sparked by Hanson's three goals and Pesch's two.

Sophomore goalie Mckenzie Whalen has gone 4-4 with a 1.88 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage for the Green Wave.
