Maple Grove at Eden Prairie
6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22

Maple Grove's 10-game unbeaten streak came to a close in a 3-1 loss to No. 2-2A Minnetonka on Dec. 17, with junior defender Tina Kampa, a Bemidji State recruit, recorded the lone goal for the No. 5-2A Crimson (9-2-2).

Maple Grove bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Benilde-St. Margaret's on Dec. 19 behind Hailey Herdine (7-9-16), who had a goal and an assist.

Taylor Wente (11-15-26) leads the team on offense but has gone without a goal in the last two games. She'll likely need to overcome the skid to help the Crimson hold off Eden Prairie.

The No. 6-2A Eagles (8-3-2, 1-1) is also coming off a 2-1 loss to Minnetonka but responded with a 5-2 win over No. 3-2A Wayzata on Dec. 19 behind goals Crystalyn Hengler's two goals. Naomi Rogge and Rachel Werdin each had one of the three power-play goals Eden Prairie tallied in the game.

Hengler (7-7-14) and Rogge (7-10-17) lead the team in scoring while Lauren Oberle (6-4-10) and Werdin (6-2-8) have provided offensive depth.

Sophomore goalie Alexa Dobchuk has faced 30 or more shots in each of the last three games but has allowed only only two goals in each. She has four shutouts to go with a 1.35 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage.
