Eagan at Farmington
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22

Eagan had it’s season-opening eight-game unbeaten streak snapped by rival Eastview. The Lightning's Natalie Snodgrass scored a shorthanded goal in the third period to seal a 4-3 win on Dec. 15.

The No. 16-2A Wildcats then dropped their next game, falling 4-1 to No. 20-2A Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids on Dec. 17.

Eagan (8-2-1, 6-1) stopped the slide with a 5-3 win over Shakopee on Dec. 19. Taylor Anderson and Kayla Vrieze each had a third-period goal while Brooke Madsen (12-14-26) had a goal and four assists in the win.

The Wildcats trail Lakeville South and Eastview in the South Suburban Conference standings, and a loss to Farmington (6-3-2, 4-3-2) could derail Eagan’s chances to stay in the hunt for the league title.

The Wildcats defeated the Tigers 5-2 earlier this season in a wild game that had a combined five goals scored in the third period.

Farmington, which has just two seniors and one junior on the roster, is coming off a 2-1 loss to No. 11-2A Lakeville South, the Tigers' first defeat in their last four games.

Sophomore forward Ellie Moser (17-3-20) has four goals in the past two contests, and freshman forward Bailey Kelley (9-3-12) has three goals and two assists in the past three games.
