Stillwater at Hill-Murray
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22

Two Class 2A, Section 4 powers tangle in their only regular-season meeting when Stillwater travels to Hill-Murray.

They met in the section semifinals last year, with the Pioneers advancing after recording a 3-1 win. The year before, Hill-Murray defeated Stillwater 4-1 in the section championship.

The No. 14-2A Ponies (5-6-1, 5-3-1) have been a streaky so far and will try to improve on their current 1-3-1 mark against the No. 1-2A Pioneers.

Lauren Greeder (10-3-13) and Hannah Anderson (5-2-6) are Stillwater's top two goal scorers, and Caitlin Carter (2-5, 2.29, .925) and Katie Lottsfeldt (2-1-1, 2.17, .921) have split time in goal.

Hill-Murray fell behind No. 12-2A Dodge County 1-0 in their game Dec. 19, just the second time the Pioneers (10-0, 3-0) have trailed in a game this season.

The deficit didn't last long as a first-period power-play goal from Jac Kaasa (8-6-14) tied the game. Lindsey Featherstone (5-11-16) and Taylor Wemple (1-6-7) added second-period goals to secure a victory.

Dodge County’s goal snapped a four-game shutout streak for the Pioneers, who had two from freshman goalie Ava Bailey (5-0, .80, .952) in the run. Senior goalie Mari Johnson (5-0, .40, .970) has three shutouts on the season.
