Edina at Wayzata
2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16

Since starting the season 10-0, Wayzata has fallen into funk, going 3-4-1 record in its past eight games with losses to No. 3-2A Minnetonka, No. 5-2A Eden Prairie, No. 10-2A Cretin-Derham Hall and No. 14-2A Eagan.

The No. 8-2A Trojans (13-4-1, 1-2-1) have missed leading goal scorer Natalie Heising (16-17-33), who is playing with the U.S. Women’s Under-18 team at the World Championships in Canada from Jan. 8-15. Meg Ransom (7-12-19) and Ally Wiitala (5-11-16) have goals in back-to-back games to help make up for Heising's absence.

Edina faces No. 6-2A Chaska/Chanhassen on Tuesday and No. 9-2A Elk River/Zimmerman on Thursday before capping its week with Wayzata on Saturday.

The No. 2-2A Hornets (12-4-1, 1-2-1) lost to No. 5-2A Eden Prairie 1-0 on Jan. 9 behind a 32-save performance from Eagles goalie Alexa Dobchuk.
