Edina at Chaska/Chanhassen
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12

It was all good for Chaska/Chanhassen a just a week ago.

The Storm Hawks had risen to No. 6 in the Class 2A rankings following a fantastic run at the Eden Prairie Mid-Winter Meltdown that culminated with a 3-2 victory over No. 3-2A Minnetonka in the title game.

But No. 1-2A Hill-Murray humbled Chaska/Chanhassen with a 7-0 victory on Jan. 9, snapping the Storm Hawks' 11-game unbeaten streak.

Tuesday's meeting will be the first between the teams since Edina eliminated Chaska/Chanhassen from last season's Class 2A, Section 2 playoffs with a 3-2 victory in the semifinals.

Emily Oden tallied two goals and Lolita Fidler had one as the Hornets also beat the Storm Hawks 6-2 in last year's regular-season matchup. Lydia Passolt and Sofia Poinar each scored for Chaska/Chanhassen.

Edina will be without Oden and Grace Bowlby for this game, as the two are competing with the U.S. Women's Under-18 team at World Championships.
