Blake vs. Breck
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10

Blake versus Breck is one of the preeminent matchups in Minnesota girls' high school hockey, and their showdowns draw interest from fans across the state.

Tuesday's game is the second meeting of this regular season for the Independent Metro Athletic Conference rivals, with Round 1 going to Blake in a 4-1 home victory.

The No. 1-1A Bears are on a six-game winning streak that includes three shutouts, and they have won 12 of their last 13 dating back to Nov. 22.

Seven players have at least 12 points for Blake (14-2-1, 3-0), led by forwards Izzy Daniel (10-13-23) and Lily Delianedis (10-11-21).

Breck (12-3-2, 1-1) also wields a deep and talented lineup, with seven players scoring 14 or more points.

The No. 2-1A Mustangs will be without leading scorer Grace Zumwinkle, as the senior forward and Minnesota commit is playing for Team USA at the IIHF Women's Under-18 World Championships. She is joined in the Czech Republic by Blake defender Madeline Wethington, who is also playing for Team USA.

Senior forward and Colgate commit Kendall Williamson (8-12-20) should help fill the scoring void for Breck.
