Minnetonka vs. Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10

A mid-December surge has rocketed No. 9-1A Minnetonka from the back of the pack to second place in the Lake Conference standings, where it sits just one game behind league-leader Edina.

The Skippers (9-5-2, 2-1) have won six consecutive games, thanks to a standout between the pipes.

Senior goaltender Elizabeth Kubicek hasn't allowed more than one goal in the last eight games. She also leads the conference in goals-against average (1.22) and save percentage (.948) among goalies who have played at least 204 minutes.

After seven consecutive victories, Eden Prairie (12-5, 1-1) has dropped three of its last four games.

If the No. 3-2A Eagles intend to fly straight again, they can turn to senior forward Naomi Rogge. The Minnesota-Duluth commit leads the Lake Conference in goals (21) and points (38), and could spark an offense that scored just one goal in its last three losses.
