Elk River vs. Edina
7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2

Wins over Centennial on Jan. 24 and Andover on Jan. 28 has pulled Elk River into second place of the Northwest Suburban Conference North Division standings, just one game behind division-leading Blaine.

The Elks (17-5, 12-3) get a reprieve from conference play in this battle with Edina and will look for a productive performance from Andrea Westgaard (11-18-29). The senior forward leads an Elks offense that features six players with 21 or more points.

Edina's bid for an undefeated season ended on Jan. 27 with a 2-1 loss to No. 1-1A Blake and a win over the No. 6-2A Elks could assuage the sting.

The No. 1-2A Hornets (20-1-1, 7-0) feature eight players with 17 or more points, led by junior forward and Harvard commit Lolita Fidler (17-22-39).
