Eden Prairie vs. Blake

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21

Blake has erased any question about how it would fare in its first season in Class 2A.

The No. 2-2A Bears have allowed just three goals in building a 5-0 record. They are led by senior Anna Kruesel, an Amherst commit who has played every minute in goal and has posted a .965 save percentage.

Eden Prairie entered this season with plenty of experience in net. Senior goalie Alexa Dobchuk, a Colgate commit who backstopped the Eagles when they won the Class 2A state championship two seasons ago, has been solid in helping No. 7-2A Eden Prairie to a 2-1-1 record through the first two weeks of the year. Her only stumble came in an 8-2 loss on Nov. 14 to No. 3-2A Hill-Murray, a team that has scored 16 times in three games. She allowed seven goals to the Pioneers but bounced back two days later by shutting out Apple Valley to secure the Eagles a 0-0 tie.

More offensive output may be what Eden Prairie needs, as the Eagles are averaging a meager 1.5 goals per game this season.
