Cretin-Derham Hall vs. White Bear Lake

7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20

Before both Cretin-Derham Hall and White Bear Lake head into their holiday break, the two Suburban East Conference foes will meet in a battle of ranked Class 2A powers.

The Raiders (6-4, 5-1) have suffered some early losses but are still in the running for the conference championship. Junior goalie Megan Meyers has helped lead the way for No. 18-2A Cretin-Derham Hall, as she picked up 19 saves and a shutout Saturday when the Raiders defeated Mounds View 3-0. The junior now has a 1.88 goals against average and .932 save percentage this season.

The Bears, meanwhile, have emerged as the conference's best thus far. No. 11-2A White Bear Lake took down Forest Lake with a 2-1 win on Tuesday and came back with another 2-1 win on Saturday against Stillwater.

Junior forward Sydney Shearen has jump-started the Bears' (10-1-1, 6-0-0) offense. She had two assists in Saturday's win, and the University of Minnesota commit has 13 goals and 17 assists on the season.
