Maple Grove vs. Andover

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4

Andover and Maple Grove have memories of their two highly contested Northwest Suburban Conference games last season.

Both matchups went to overtime, with Maple Grove winning 2-1 in December before January's 4-4 tie. They'll meet again Tuesday with each owning perfect records and a top-10 ranking in the coaches' poll, which should help amp up the rivalry.

Andover's offense is averaging 5.83 goals per game, helping the mush the Huskies to Class 2A's No. 1 ranking. Jamie Nelson, Gabby Krause and Peyton Hemp have more than 10 points apiece this season, and Nelson leads the Huskies (6-0, 2-0) with six goals and 10 assists.

The No. 8-2A Crimson (5-0, 2-0) have allowed only four goals in six games this season behind goaltender Lucy Morgan, who boasts a minuscule 0.79 goals-against average in nearly 300 minutes of action.
