North Wright County makes its debut in the minefield that is the Lake Conference at the Eden Prairie Community Center against the No. 6-2A Eagles. Hey, nobody said life was easy in the Lake, which has produced seven of the last nine Class 2A state champions.
North Wright County (3-1-0, 0-0-0) has five players committed to Division I colleges, including sophomore Chloe Finnerty (Minnesota Duluth) and senior MacKenzie Bourgerie (St. Cloud State). Bourgerie is the team leader with five goals and eight points.
Minnesota State Mankato commit Sydney Langseth, a senior, and Princeton commit Grace Kuipers, a junior, have combined to score 18 of the 23 goals recorded by Eden Prairie (4-1-1, 0-0-0).
