It’s hard to say whether Hanzel is more effective as a shutdown defender or a power-play quarterback, since she’s excelled in both roles since she was a freshman. Ten of Hanzel’s 17 goals and 14 of her 27 assists came on the power play last season. The Boston University commit's 44 points was third most on a Lourdes team that reached the Class 1A state tournament last spring for the second straight year.
