Wayzata vs. Hill-Murray

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 9

Hill-Murray looks to emerge from its COVID-19 quarantine, which forced the cancellation of four  games, in time to close out its regular season with a three-game week that begins with Tuesday’s matchup against talent-laden Wayzata (8-6-1).

Hill-Murray (10-1-0) has won five straight contests since its lone loss, a 1-0 setback to Edina on Feb. 3. The No. 3-2A Pioneers scored a combined 35 goals in that stretch, an average of seven tallies per game.

Freshman Chloe Boreen’s 12 goals pace Hill-Murray, and she’s scored five of them in her last three outings. Freshman Grace Zhan is 8-1-0 with a .936 save percentage.

The No. 10-2A Trojans had won four of their last five games before falling 4-1 to unbeaten No. 2-2A Edina on Saturday.

Senior Clarkson commit Gretchen Branton paces the Trojans with 15 goals and 26 points. She had a hat trick in a 5-1 triumph over defending Class 1A state champion Breck on March 2. Junior Mallory Coffin is the team’s assist leader with 12.
