We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

South St. Paul vs. Hill-Murray, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26. Longtime Metro East Conference rivals No. 6-1A South St. Paul (3-1-0, 0-0-0) and No. 7-2A Hill-Murray (3-2-1, 0-0-0) are perennial powerhouses. South St. Paul goaltender Delaney Norman, a freshman, already has two shutouts.

Duluth Marshall vs. Duluth, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26. The Battle of Duluth promises to offer a much needed confidence boost to the winner, as both Duluth Marshall (2-3-0, 0-0-0) and Duluth (1-4-0, 0-0-0) are off to slow starts — in part because of their difficult schedules. Junior Maren Friday, who has committed to Union, is the catalyst for the No. 7-1A Hilltoppers.

Proctor/Hermantown vs. Blake, 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29. Another Duluth-area team navigating a rugged schedule, No. 2-1A Proctor/Hermantown (2-5-0, 0-1-0) has already played, and lost to, the defending state champions in both classes (Edina in 2A; Breck in 1A). No. 2-2A Blake (4-1-1, 1-0-0) boasts one of the state’s scoring leaders in Cornell commit Lily Delianedis (eight goals, nine assists).
